Drivers CPC - Petroleum Driver Passport - 3.5 Hours
The Petroleum Driver Passport Driver CPC Course is a 3.5-hour training module for professional LGV drivers involved in petroleum distribution. The course covers the safe loading, transportation and delivery of petroleum products, including industry procedures, documentation, product hazards and driver responsibilities. It develops drivers' understanding of the safety and operational standards required when working within the petroleum distribution sector.
Description
Transporting petroleum products requires drivers to operate within a highly controlled environment where safety, competence and compliance are essential.
Our Petroleum Driver Passport Driver CPC Course provides professional LGV drivers with an understanding of the procedures and responsibilities associated with the safe loading, transportation and delivery of petroleum products.
The course explores the Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) scheme, petroleum product hazards, loading procedures, delivery operations, documentation, emergency procedures and the driver's responsibilities throughout the distribution process.
Training considers the different environments in which petroleum tanker drivers may operate, including retail forecourts, commercial deliveries, aviation, marine and home heat operations, where applicable.
Using practical examples and industry scenarios, the course reinforces the importance of following approved procedures and maintaining high standards of safety throughout petroleum distribution.
The PDP scheme itself requires drivers to demonstrate competence in the loading, transport and offloading of petroleum products through its prescribed training and assessment arrangements.
***Please Note: This Driver CPC module should not be confused with completion of the full Petroleum Driver Passport qualification. Drivers requiring a new or renewed Petroleum Driver Passport may be required to complete the applicable PDP training, written assessment and practical assessment requirements.***
