Our HGV C+E Driver Refresher & Development Course is designed to provide personalised driver coaching based on your individual experience and objectives.

Whether you are returning to HGV driving after several years away, preparing for a practical driving test, returning after an unsuccessful DVSA test, or simply wishing to improve your driving standard, our instructors will create a training programme tailored specifically to your needs.

Training can be booked as a half-day, full-day, or as additional training hours to complement an existing HGV driver training programme.

The course focuses on building confidence, correcting poor habits, improving vehicle control, and ensuring drivers are fully prepared for safe professional driving or their next practical test.

Prerequisites

To enrol on this course, candidates should:

  • Hold a valid UK Category C+E provisional or full driving licence entitlement (depending on the purpose of the training)
  • Meet the relevant DVLA medical requirements
  • Be physically capable of safely operating a Category C+E vehicle
  • Have a basic understanding of English
  • Have access to an email address

This course is suitable for both qualified HGV drivers and learner drivers preparing for or re-sitting their practical tests.

Assessment

This is a driver development course and does not include a formal qualification.

Throughout the course, instructors continuously assess driving performance and provide structured feedback to help candidates improve their skills and confidence.
