Drivers CPC - Tiredness, Diet & Lifestyle - 3.5 Hours
The Tiredness, Diet & Lifestyle Driver CPC Course is a 3.5-hour module for LGV and PCV drivers. It explores how fatigue, sleep, diet, hydration, exercise and lifestyle can affect driver alertness, concentration and road safety. Drivers will learn to recognise signs of tiredness and understand practical ways to improve their wellbeing, maintain concentration and reduce fatigue-related risks while driving professionally.
Description
Driver tiredness is a significant road safety risk and can seriously affect reaction times, concentration, judgement and decision-making.
Professional drivers can be particularly vulnerable due to long working days, changing shift patterns, early starts, night driving and the demands of working within the transport industry.
Diet and lifestyle can also influence how alert and focused a driver feels throughout their working day.
Our Tiredness, Diet & Lifestyle Driver CPC Course helps drivers understand the factors that can contribute to fatigue and explores practical ways of improving sleep, nutrition, hydration and general wellbeing.
The course encourages drivers to consider their own routines and recognise how relatively small lifestyle changes can help them remain more alert, comfortable and focused while driving.
Training is relevant to professional drivers operating both LGV and PCV vehicles.
