Drivers CPC - Emergency Aid
Basic emergency first aid training for workplace and roadside incidents.
Description
This module provides learners with the knowledge and confidence to respond safely and effectively to common medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
This course takes place at our training centre in Linwood, near Paisley.
Prerequisites
- Candidates must hold either a D1 or C1 licence
- Suitable for all staff and drivers and covers LGV/PCV
- Practical participation recommended
Course Content
- Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing emergency situations safely
- CPR and recovery position
- Use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) awareness
- Choking response procedures
- Treating cuts, bleeding, and minor injuries
- Shock management
- Burns and scalds treatment
- Seizures and unconscious casualties
- Incident reporting and emergency services communication
