Description
This module helps drivers understand how to maintain a safe working environment, reduce risks to themselves and others, and comply with health & safety legislation within the transport industry.
This course takes place at our training centre in Linwood, near Paisley.
Prerequisites
- Candidates must hold either a D1 or C1 licence
- Suitable for new and experienced drivers and covers LGV/PCV
- Basic understanding of workplace safety beneficial

- Employer and employee duties
- Risk assessments and hazard awareness
- Manual handling techniques
- Slips, trips, and falls prevention
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Working safely around vehicles and depots
- Accident reporting procedures
- Fatigue, stress, and wellbeing awareness
- Emergency procedures and incident response
